First day of the school
Наш первый день в школе
As I had sudden stomach ache last night and got up with a great urge to eat something, waking of the kids had to be postponed for 20 minutes. When I finally opened the kids room door, I found out that both girls had already got up and almost dressed. I even got a rebuke from the oldest girl (which made me smile), because I said to them yesterday, that we should get up early at 7 o’clock in order to get at school in time.
We (the parents) were asked to bring kids at 8:10 to the school doors and then meet our little students at 11 AM after their classes. A whole bunch of parents had been already impatiently waiting for the new students in front of the school doors when I arrived there at 11 o’clock. My daughter looked happy didn’t seem to be tired at all. The first day of school was fun, she made friends with one of her classmates and a soup served for lunch was very delicious.
One more thing to appreciate about our school — they were told to bring coloured pencils and an album for drawing, but they didn’t draw anything today as the goal of it was to make sure they would bring the supplies.
With a school start my morning “logistics” (surprisingly) became easier. Both — school and kindergarten are situated close to our home and in seven minutes of walk from each other. And I don’t need to wait no more for the oldest sister to get undressed (which always took nearly fifteen minutes) as she does it by herself at school now. So now it’s as easy as this — I grab all of the girls and get outside, two minutes later Anastasia is at the school doors and we say good-bye to her, 10 minutes later Veronika is preparing to enter her kindergarten group room. And that’s it.
I remember my own first day of school — I was so afraid to oversleep and be late that woke up at night and did my bed and then continued my sleep all dressed up! Do you remember your first day of school?
