It’s winter, baby
>Это зима, детка<
Have you already decorated your home? I haven’t, aside of the Christmas lights on our kitchen table, that actually were left there pretty much accidentally a few days ago, but fitted so well, so I decided to leave them there. The coldness and greyness of outside just have to be counterbalanced with winter-holiday-inspired decorated rooms and a sweet vanilla smell of a home-made baking. By the way, speaking of baking, I would suggest you to visit this treasure page with a pile of specially selected recipes of home baked cookies.
I had to go outside today, though I would prefer to stay at home. Grey everything from the skies to the ground and a wind from North just doesn’t inspire me for strolls in any ways, but I had my duty to bring a book back to the library. So in order to make the walk more attractive, I took my camera with me and challenged myself to search for pretty things in a grey gloominess around me.
It was truly hard as besides the icy North wind straight in my face, there wasn’t almost anything interesting in the view. Some little patches of not-so-white snow here and there and that’s it.
As I said, almost…
I actually don’t have a slightest idea, what this orange bush is, but I liked it’s unusual colour.
Though, I really wouldn’t get outside this days at all if I could.
And speaking about the library, I went there with a thought, that it would be the last time this winter of me and Marge attending the library as it’s just too far away from our home to walk there in a cold day. But the lady that works there ruined my plans just like that by reminding me of one more book that I had totally forgotten about and had left at home. What a pity!
