Немножко праздничного настроения
Last year the Christmas elves brought some neat decorations for our tree.
Первая Маргошина ёлочка + Wordless Wednesday
Our Christmas tree has arrived today, yippee!
Linking up with Single Mother Ahoy for Wordless Wednesday (with a post almost without words).
Besides the photography I love drawing and painting. The last year was a year of watercolours’ taming for me. I was taking a watercolour class but was forced to put my brushes aside for a while after Marge had born.
I loved every lesson I took and as soon as I feel ready to leave Marge with my husband for a few hours, I will continue attending this class. By the way, if you are from Latvia, you might be interested to check the class’s page.
And now that I have a pile of nice watercolour paintings after the class, I thought it would be nice to share a few with someone, who will put it in a frame and hang it (unlike me, who stores all of them in a file).
So I’m giving away this nice picture of a snowman in blue and orange colours. It’s of a size of A4 and I’ll be happy to post it anywhere in the world. To enter this giveaway just post a comment to this entry.
The giveaway is closed and the snowman goes to Anne!

Christmas Elves won’t let our kids be bored this December, that’s for sure! Have you completed one task? Here is the next one! This time those little pickles brought two black cardboard circles with white snowflakes drawn on them, which Elves apparently had taken right from my desk before painting them black. And they asked my girls to smear glue on the snowflakes and pour a lot of semolina over it. I wonder, what will the result look like?

As I mentioned in one of the previous posts, my daughters got a mail from Christmas elves and the elves asked them to make a paper ball. The elves actually sent two coloring pages with ornaments to use for the creation, but we also did it using a paper randomly coloured with watercolours.
To make the countdown easier, I drew this calendar (girls received it with a letter from elves).

I’m pretty sure, this time is the most favourite time of a year to my kids. Though, we not a truly religious family, we have our concept of why this holidays are so important to every human being and I’m also constantly seeking what this holidays really mean to me. That said, while it’s so unpleasingly cold outside, these days are always filled with warmth and magic in our house.
A few days ago I found out that Veronika grew out from her dancing shoes. So I went to a supermarket for a new pair of shoes for her. I’m not visiting this kind of places in this time very often, so I was surprised, that the shop was already filled with different Christmas stuff. I hadn’t realised that it’s less than a month left to the begging of an Advent time and there is not much time left to think up something interesting and make it. And believe me, it was really early this year, as I tend to forget this thing.
