Project 365 is a popular thing among photogrophers all over the globe.  The point of it is to take at least one picture a day for a whole year. After completing one, whatever was your purpose, you can assemble your days in collages by weeks and print a picture book of the year.

When I heard about the project 365 for the first time, I thought that it could be a fun way of documenting  our family life, though I also felt sceptic about the whole thing and thought that I probably wouldn’t have enough patience and time to stay on track with it for a longer time. While I still wasn’t sure if I’m going to do it or not, I got an invitation to a Facebook group of people joined together for the 365, and their excitement soon enough got into me. A few days after I had already been filled with anticipation of a journey and was curious where it could lead me.

There is a place in Riga where spring always comes first. I would even say, it never leaves this place. Something is always blooming there any time of the year, as far as I know. Have you already guesed what place am I talking about? No, I’m not speaking of the flowerbed of our neighbour old lady (though, if she had a winter house for her plants there, it would be another correct answer). The place is the Botanical Garden of Riga. I was in some other botanical gardens in other countries and I must say that after comparing it with the others, I am quite proud of ours. Maybe it doesn’t have such a variety of plants, maybe it’s old. But it’s treated with a big care and it’s really neat, beautiful and stylish. It also has some benches, so you can make a picnic there.

I made a decision to change one thing here: I’m going to share my 365’s right after the completion of a week, which happens in the middle of workdays.

There are days when we feel totally uninspired. Either it’s the fault of spring rains and puddles under your feet, or it’s because your kid is sick (yet again). Or maybe it’s none of that. Maybe it’s just your mundane routine that got you bored. You start your creative work, and you feel like you’ll definitely going to end up with nothing decent again.

The idea was to share inspirational some spring pictures without much talking, while I’m working on a few pretty long posts. But somehow these look more weird than cheerful and inspiring, don’t they? Yep, I have some odd decoration in my place, but believe me, those doesn’t look so gloomy in the real life.
