Spring Has Arrived in Riga
Весна добралась до Риги!
I was terribly bad at updating my blog lately. And it’s not even summer, when we mostly will be living outside (which means no technology except my camera and phone with us through the whole days). I like the idea, but I do wish I had some more time to be able to make more records here. There are so many untold stories that, I’m pretty sure, would be fun or at least nice to remember.
So, the spring is finally here to stay. Not only the beautiful picture with budding flowers and new leaves, but also with a nice warmth in the air. This winter was so long and the coldness was so stubborn, that even mother-nature refused waiting any longer and started to beautify everything around here despite of the chill.
And look, how beautiful our forest is right now! I’m not sure what’s the flower is, but it covers our forest like a carpet.
And here is my personal achievement — I caught a flying duck in the frame! By no means, it’s not a rocket science, but I’ve just always had a bad luck with ducks. Either my exposure wasn’t ready for the moment, or I failed to focus on the bird. But this time luck was finally on my side! (And it was so kind from the bird to fly into the beautiful light and against the dark background!)
There was a soap bubble parade on the weekend in Riga. I’ve never been there, but thought it should be fun. This time I planned for at least two weeks to get there, but somehow I forgot that our Marge naps just around the time of a day when the festival was taking place. So yeah, we missed it once again, but we had a lovely walk in Riga center and still saw a few people with soap bubbles.
