What do we do if we desperately want to the seaside, but the weather is not even trying? We go to the seaside. Luckily, Latvia has a lot of picturesque sea shores where you can not only swim or take a sunbath, but enjoy white sand under your feet and amazing view.
So off we went to Saulkrasti, which literally means “shore of the sun”. Just an hour of a road trip and we were bathing in a warm wind gusts of this beautiful shore, where a small river called Inchupe is entering the sea. The shore has a cliff, which is called “Balta Kapa”, which means “white dune” and is called this way because of the color of the sand.
There was an alcove on the top of the cliff. A great place for a portrait! And right when I wanted to photograph our kids, a nice lady approached me and offered to take a picture of our family. I’m learning photography long enough to say “yes” without any hesitation. So I switched to Av mode, handed my camera to her, explained how to focus with my camera and here we are — almost everyone with opened eyes!
Sending kisses to my dear husband for these lovely pictures of me and our little Marge!
And of course some rain on our way back home.
