All of a sudden a heat wave came across Riga. But it won’t prevent me from sharing a pattern of Veronika’s new hat.
My daughter wanted a hat with a flower, so I crocheted one nice flower too. I used Indigo colour from my favorite Alize Bella cotton yarns to make the hat fit daughter’s blue coat.
But before I start, some pics of today: a morning after the first thunderstorm in Latvia this year. Air after the rain became moist and warm.
Back to the pattern, I drew a scheme (pictures can be clicked for a large picture), but to be on the safe side, I wrote it down too.
So, here goes the pattern of a crochet hat for a 5-year old girl (head diameter 50 cm (19.5 inch)).
- st = stitch
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- dc = double crochet
- hdc = half double crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- rep = repeat
Start with colour “Acid”.
1) Chain 4 and join with a slip stitch to make a ring.
