Family Road Trip to Ventspils. Part II.
Once we woke up on the second day of our journey, I went with my camera to the lake. I rarely have an opportunity to photograph landscapes, so I couldn’t miss this one.
Kids were waiting for me inside.
And then we had some visitors.
Then I went after our tripod to make a family picture. It’s kind of our tradition to make some when we are on a trip. A test shot.
One more test shot.
And here is the full picture. Unfortunately, Marge saw the duck family and decided to join them rather than stay with us.
She’s running away and I totally forgot that I didn’t put her booties on her feet while there was a dew on the grass.
The next stop was at our final destination — in Ventspils. We started with the aqua-park, then checked in at the apartments and were off to enjoy the city.
This set of fountains is called “Sun Boats”. Whenever the sun shines, there shows up a beautiful rainbow over the fountain.
Then we had some rest in the apartments and the hour before the sunset headed out to the beach. I had a desire to take a silhouette picture of us, which is impossible in our home place due to a lack of open spaces where we could have a view with a clear horizon.
Don’t ask me…
Yeah… don’t ask me.
Cosy quiet streets of Ventspils.
Almost there! Right on time!
Time for another family photo.
And one more (a test shot, but I like it).
And the shot I actually aimed for.
The sky was to die for!
We visited one more kid playground before going home. But, if you remember, I took my 135 mm lens with me, which doesn’t really suit for cityscapes. So here is only one photo that doesn’t show all the glory of the playground at all.
And we saw a squirrel there! This is when I was very happy to have exactly this lens with me!
